## Huden og dens oppbygning

Huden er kroppens største organ og har en overflate på nesten 2 kvm. Den består av overhuden, lærhuden og underhuden. Overhuden er det ytterste laget og det vi ser. Den består av flate celler, såkalt flerlaget plateepitel. Mellom overhuden og lærhuden finnes basalmembranen. I denne membranen deler cellene seg og erstatter hudcellene som er skadet i overhuden. Lærhuden ligger under overhuden og består av bindevev. Bindevevet består av kollagen og elastin. Med alderen avtar mengden, noe som gjør at huden blir slapp og rynkete. Ved overdreven soling kan de elastiske fibrene ødelegges, noe som fører til at huden eldes raskere. For å beskytte huden kan det være lurt å bruke en hudkrem med høy "[solfaktor](https://apotea.no/category/10202/solskydd-for-kroppen). I lærhuden finnes følelegemer, hårsekker, nerver, talgkjertler og svettekjertler. Lærhuden går over til å kalles underhuden i de dypere lagene. Underhuden består av porøst bindevev og fettceller. Dens formål er å varme og fungere støtdempende, men den er også et godt fettlager.
